Privacy policy

No mystery folder with your name on it.

Here is what the site receives, why it receives it, and what we do with it.

What we collect

Checklist requests

When you request the one-page checklist, you provide an email address. The address is used to deliver that PDF.

Messages you send us

If you contact us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. Please leave confidential interview details out of it.

Basic technical information

Like most websites, our hosting and security provider may process information such as your IP address, browser type, requested page, and request time to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and diagnose failures.

Optional analytics

If you allow analytics, Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity may process page visits, device and browser details, interaction data such as clicks and scrolling, and session recordings of page use. We use that information to understand whether the guide works and where readers get stuck.

How we use it

  • to send the checklist you requested;
  • to reply when you contact us;
  • to protect the forms and site from spam or misuse;
  • to keep the site working and understand technical failures.

We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.

Cookies and tracking

Cloudflare provides privacy-focused, aggregate web analytics without using cookies for that product. Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity load only after you choose “Allow analytics.” Those optional services may use cookies or similar browser storage.

Analytics are not used for advertising on this site. You can allow, decline, or change your choice at any time with the “Analytics choices” button in the footer.

Where data goes

Questions for Interview runs on Cloudflare, which provides hosting, security, rate limiting, email delivery, and aggregate web analytics. If you allow optional analytics, Google and Microsoft also process analytics data. Email providers process messages while sending or receiving them. These providers handle data under their own privacy and security terms.

You can read Cloudflare’s privacy policy for more detail about its services.

Retention and choices

We do not save checklist email addresses in our own database. Your analytics preference is saved in your browser so the site can remember it. Contact messages may remain in our inbox while they are needed for support, recordkeeping, or follow-up. Service providers may keep analytics, delivery, and security data according to their own retention schedules.

You may ask us to delete a contact message or answer a privacy question by emailing hello@questionsforinterview.com.

Changes

If the site begins using new data practices, this page will be updated along with the date above. Privacy policies should describe the website in front of you, not an imaginary software empire.
